SAILING

Stewart moved to Los Angeles in 1975, and recorded his most famous song, "Sailing".

The song is a cover of the Sutherland Brothers song, and was a number-one hit in the UK.

The song describes a journey of someone telling his/her partner that he/she is crossing the Atlantic to be with him/her. However, according to the writer of the song, it is not connected to romance or ships; it is about mankind’s odyssey through life on their way to freedom and spirituality.
